Terms & Conditions

By using our service you agree to our Terms & Conditions of business

1) “We” or “our” refers to Aqua Boss. “You”, “your” or “the client” refers to the customer receiving the service(s).

2) All estimates are subject to site survey & confirmation by written/verbal quotation/electronic communication.

3) Quotations are valid for 30 days.

4) A quotation accepted either verbally or by signature will be subject to the Terms and Conditions herein.

5) All windows must be closed on the day prior to cleaning. Any open windows which cannot be closed will not be cleaned.

6) You must ensure that all items to be cleaned are structurally sound prior to cleaning.

7) We reserve the right to make a surcharge in the case of exceptionally dirty windows.

8) Full access is required on the day of the clean. We are unable to move any obstacles which may inhibit cleaning. Should partial access on the scheduled day reduce the extent of the clean, we reserve the right to charge for 100% of the scheduled clean.

9) Any items that prevent us fully cleaning the windows, sills and frames may affect the final clean.

10) Inside windows: it is your responsibility to ensure that windows are accessible and sills and other surfaces are cleared beforehand.

11) We will not clean any windows we consider to be inaccessible or unsafe on the day of the clean.

12) Leaded windows: We do not accept liability for any damage whatsoever caused during the provision of our services. Although every care is taken and specific brushes are used when cleaning lead glass windows, Aqua Boss Cleaning Services Ltd cannot accept responsibility for any damage before, during or after the clean and we are unable to replace/repair any lead should they become defective/damaged.

13) Windows cleaned with pure water for the first time may require two or three washes before the full benefit is seen, due to the chemical residue left by traditional cleaning methods or leaching of ingrained dirt from frames and other areas.

14) Our pure water cleaning system is very effective at cleaning general dirt from your windows, if you have builders residue, e.g. plaster, concrete, paint, stickers, adhesive, staining/discolouration on windows or frames from chemicals, rust or UV bleaching of frames on your windows, pure water will not be effective at removing these, please notify us if you want a quotation to remove.

15) We clean throughout the year (so can include rain and snow) as we are an all year round service. Our promise to you is that the results will still be the same. If WE deem the rain too heavy, we will not clean your windows. Your clean will carry over to the next working day where possible or be rescheduled.

16) Jet washing: we require access to an external water supply and 13 amp electrical supply to operate our equipment.

17) Gutter clearance: we require access to a 13 amp electrical supply to operate our equipment.

18) Every effort will be made to clean on the appointed day, although we reserve the right to alter the day without notice.

19) Postponement of any service will require 24 hours notice from the client before any scheduled date. Notice under 24 hours or on the scheduled day will be charged at 50% of the value of the work due.

20) As our cleaning processes apply throughout the year, weather conditions will not be accepted as reason from the client to postpone our scheduled service.

21) In the rare instance of weather conditions where we deem it unsafe or our cleaning processes may be inoperable, we will endeavour to provide you with as much notice as possible and reschedule the clean day.

22) If you postpone a clean and the period between washes extends to over 8 weeks, your next wash may incur a first clean charge.

23) Repeat services carried out in a period in excess of 8 weeks may be subject to re survey and re quotation on an individual basis.

24) External glass surfaces will usually be washed with pure water from water fed poles.

25) All surfaces washed with pure water will be left to dry naturally.

26) A window or door is defined as any part which consists of frame, sill, sash and glass, made of wood, aluminium, steel or UPVC.

27) We will not be liable for peeling, cracking or flaking of frames/sills/doors that have been spray painted/painted or have been wrapped.

28) Any frames/doors that are not sound or where paint is flaking will not be cleaned (this may also include the window in that same frame).

29) Paint, varnish, lime scale, mastic, cement mortar, glue, labels, or other building products cannot be removed by pure water alone. This can be arranged, subject to survey and access, at a separate cost.

30) Sills made of brick, tile, stone or any material other than wood, aluminium, steel or UVPC may damage our brush heads and will not be washed.

31) Internal glass surfaces will be cleaned using traditional methods.

32) External window cleaning consists of vertical windows and velux windows only unless specified otherwise.

33) Internal windows or conservatory roof cleaning includes the glass only and are priced separately.

34) Our pure water cleaning system is very effective at cleaning general dirt from your windows. If you have builders residue, eg. plaster, concrete, paint, stickers, adhesive, staining/discolouration on windows or frames from chemicals or rust and UV bleaching of frames on your windows, pure water will not be effective at removing these, please notify us if you want a quotation to remove.

35) Although jet washing will remove most stains from patios, paths & driveways, some marks may not be removed by this process.

36) Fascia and soffit cleaning includes the gutter face and as far behind the gutter as can be reached with our brushes.

37) Gutter clearance is by high reach vacuum and does not include the removal or replacement of any leaf guards/gutter hedgehogs or other devices.

38) Gutter clearance is restricted to just the gutters on the roofline and does not include the removal, repair or replacement of any part of the gutter or downpipes.

39) An industrial wet/dry vacuum is used to clear out guttering, this is done safely from the ground. We can clear out guttering up to 30ft. We will need access to a power socket. We do not clear guttering off ladders. We can only clear guttering that has access, if the guttering is covered by roof tiles preventing us from getting the equipment into the gutter then it cannot be cleared. Our equipment can go into the top of the downpipe if there are no screws or anything else preventing access, however if there is a blockage further down we won’t be able to unblock it. We do not dismantle the guttering or downpipes.

40) Gutter clearances are carried out with good intention to make the gutters functional again. If this does not resolve the initial problem then you may have an underlying issue that would need investigating by a drain specialist which would be at the customers cost.

41) Payments should be made via our GoCardless link setup – on our payment page or by the email or SMS link we send you. Other payment methods are available at our discretion. Payment is to be made immediately on completion of job unless discussed otherwise.

42) Window cleaning or other services may not be provided on outstanding accounts.

43) In the event of a dispute over payment, it is the client’s responsibility to prove that payment in full has been made and cleared.

44) We reserve the right to make late payment charges and to recover any costs incurred in debt recovery.

45) We reserve the right to amend or terminate any introductory, promotional or referral scheme at any time without notice.

46) Terminated and/or cancelled accounts will not re qualify for any introductory offer if the account is reopened.

47) We reserve the right to terminate your cleaning account without notice.

48) Residential contracts require 7 days notice from the client prior to termination.

49) Commercial contracts require 28 days written notice from the client prior to termination, except in the case of a fixed contract period where the total contract value must be settled in full.

50) Less than the required period of notice to terminate any contract will incur the full charge of any scheduled work.

51) All costs are inclusive of vat at the standard rate unless specified otherwise.

52) Your satisfaction is guaranteed and we will re-clean any window which we recognise as unsatisfactory, so long as the complaint is received within 24 hours from the time of the wash.

53) Any complaints received after 24 hours will not be considered.

55) All customer information is kept on a confidential database and is not discussed or shared with any individual or company, as is required under the terms and conditions of the data protection act.

56) All disputes are covered by English law and under the jurisdiction of English courts only.

57) We reserve the right to change the Terms and Conditions at any time without notice.

58) A copy of our current Terms and Conditions is available on request.

59) Errors & omissions excepted.
